I offer professional editing services for journal articles, book manuscripts, and book proposals—tailored to meet academic and publishing standards. Whether you need clearer structure, stronger arguments, or a final polish, your work will be ready to submit.
tackles big picture issues of a complete draft, including overall structure, content gaps, argument, presentation of evidence, and tone/voice. You will receive a detailed editorial letter outlining major revision recommendations.
Developmental Editing
(or line-editing) involves sentence-level polishing with a focus on improving overall comprehension, applying submission guidelines and formatting requirements, and fixing inconsistencies in citations and the references list. Can also edit for word count/shortening.
Copy Editing
PRICE: Cost is based on document word count and can range from 4 cents to 6 cents/word depending on degree of work.

Mentoring and Editing Package: This package begins with a 30-minute introductory conversation and includes a personal statement template (pdf.) to get you started, as well as hands-on developmental editing service of a first draft, and a copy editing service on second draft (for a total of two rounds of feedback on your statement). Optional CV support.

Tenure and promotion statements (or those for 3rd-year review!) can be difficult and time consuming to write. Let me set your mind at ease by helping you create a stand out dossier that highlights the accomplishments your institution values.
This package includes a 45-minute introductory conversation where I get to know you, your work, and your institutional requirements for tenure and promotion, as well as hands-on developmental editing on the first drafts of your statements and copy editing on the second drafts (for a total of two rounds of feedback on each statement).
